How About A Swim?

Greeting fellow Trail Lifers-

First things first.  Congratulations to all of our young men!  I would like to thank each of you for giving your best effort last Saturday.  The water was cold and the test was hard, especially after several hours of stacking fire wood.  Way to go, one and all!

This week-end (Sat. the 24th) is our monthly Hit the Trail.  As a reward for last week’s hard labor, we thought we would offer……more swimming.  Bring your suntan lotion, goggles, and towel.  We’re going pool swimming, nature walking, and, as a bonus,  food.

Where:  Cold River Campground

Directions:  Follow Route 9 from Brewer.  Route 178 (Riverside Drive) veers left. Take Route 178. The campground is 1 mile up on the right.

When:  Saturday (the 24) from 2 pm until 8 pm

How Much:  OK, follow along.  The cost is $2.50 for a young man under 12 and $5.00 for a man over 12.  There is also a $5.00 per FAMILY fee to cover our share of the dinner that the campground is putting on.

What to Bring:

  • Bible
  • Water
  • Swim Suit
  • Towel
  • Snacks  (dinner isn’t until 6 pm)
  • Something to carry it all in

Other Things You Might Need:

  • Sun Tan Lotion
  • Bug Spray
  • Sun Glasses
  • Old Sneakers or Water Shoes
  • Life Jacket (if needed)

Please, leave your pool toys, noodles, scuba gear, and pool floats at home.

Please contact Steve by Thursday so we can get a good count on how many Trailmen are coming.

Until Saturday,

Walk Worthy
